Michael oh so very happy at breakfast the morning of the first day of school.. LOL!

The first day back to school for Michael and Me!

This pic is Michael getting ready to go out the door for school!

I was so happy to go back! I am helping my boss get our room ready.... Our school has gone to school wide Title 1 now and we have lots in store for us this year! Our room is bigger and we have new programs to be implemented. I am so excited to be back!

Also, Michael started the 2nd grade this year. He is in Ms. Degen's class. I requested her last May and was so happy that it was granted. (I guess that is a benefit of working at the same school that he goes to... woo hoo!) I was so impressed with her class last year that I really wanted Michael in her class. So far so good... The first morning.. he was crying and complaining that summer was over and that he didn't want to go to school. When I went to his class after school was let out... he was telling me that he loves the 2nd grade and his teacher! AWESOME! I was so happy to hear that! This is gonna be a great year! I can just feel it in my bones!

Our Lava Hot Springs Voyage! August 2008

This is us getting to Idaho :)
Michael found some horses at the gas station and wanted to pet them.

Miguel goin down the Pertnouf River in Lava Hot Springs.

WOW! We had a voyage for sure! The very first day... Michael flipped off his intertube and was floating down the river with me swimming after him... that was so scary! I really thought I was gonna lose him! But.... he did so good.. he kept his head up and swam as hard as he could to his intertube and to the embankment! Right after we flipped... two little girls behind us did too (waterfalls area) and they were screaming and Miguel's cousin helped them.. Very scary! That was scary! Well we all got back into the river later.. so we would not be scared anymore. Silly us... without the kids with us.. Sonia, Miguel went first... and then Sonia and me... So much better! Loads of fun! After that we had a blast! Here are some pics from the trip.... enjoy!

I am using this idea from Julie Price....

Got this idea from Julie......

Anyone who wants to play...This is Fun!

1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that we had together. It doesn't matter if you knew us a little or a lot, anything you remember--it can be funny, weird, awkward, random, etc.! (It can be a memory of you with Dawn, Miguel or Michael)
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Thanks!

The Moya's

I was afraid.. silly me.. now I am already loving it! Hope you liked the past pics of our family since the beginning. Now I can continue keeping everyone updated on my blog. Leave comments so I can see you visited our blog! And if your family has a blog too, let me know so I can visit your blog!
Dawn's a blogger now!

Michael playing Baseball 2008

We sat down Michael and asked him what sport he wanted to play. He said he wanted to play Baseball.. we were surprised! He had gone to his cousin Brylie's softball games the year before and said it looked like a lot of fun. So, we signed him up for the Tooele Babe Ruth Baseball in the 7 yrs old Machine Pitch division. He had so much fun this year and learned a lot! He is a great hitter and hit almost every game....

Michael in First Grade 2007-2008

Michael currently attends Northlake Elementary in Tooele, Utah. That is where I am a Paraeducator in the Title 1 department and also with ESL with some students whose first language is spanish.

Michael had Mrs. Anderson for the first grade.

He participated in the science fair and won 1st place in the Kindergarten-2nd grade division (earth science). He did his project on the equator.
